NASA Officials Visit Campus Ahead of Space Tech Day

Derek Wang and Jonathan Dimock from NASA headquarters visited Florida Tech on Nov. 6 to tour the university and discuss a new statewide event coming to campus early next year, Space Technology Day.

The event, hosted by Florida Tech’s Office of Research and NASA, will bring together professors, students, engineers, technologists and small businesses from around Florida to engage on NASA’s current and future space technology activities, opportunities for collaboration, and the agency’s plans for exploring the moon, Mars and beyond.

During their visit, Wang, NASA’s public outreach manager, and Dimock, the agency’s White House liaison, met with senior university personnel and toured several locations, including the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Innovative Design and the ORION lab in the Department of Aerospace, Physics and Space Sciences.
