Business Students Compete in Two Events

A team of Florida Tech students finished in 3rd place at the Florida Southern College MBA Business Strategy Case Competition Nov. 2-3 in Lakeland. Team members Ross Kelley, Brienna Ferenczi and Mike Sturman received a trophy and will split $400. Chris Sonnenberg was the faculty representative and chaperone. The challenge company was Publix.

At another recent event, the Academy of International Business Southeast Region meeting Nov. 1-3 in Nashville, Florida Tech students Daniel Rassoul and Sudarshan Jayaramaiah participated in the X-Culture student challenge. Daniel was on the winning X-Culture challenge team and also was a winner in the Interview Skills competition. Sudarshan was a top finisher in the Elevator Pitch competition. The challenge company was Soles 4 Souls, an international non-profit organization that collects donated shoes and helps entrepreneurs in developing countries set up small businesses.
