Doctoral student and Phi Kappa Phi member Angelica Zamora-Duran has been selected to serve on the National Board of Phi Kappa Phi where she will serve on the Council of Students, which is a national committee for student engagement. During her two-year term, she will also act as liaison between student members and representatives on the PKP Board of Directors.
Zamora-Duran, a Ph.D. candidate in marine biology with a 4.0 GPA, is vice president of the Florida Tech PKP chapter and was recently named Florida Tech’s 2018 Phi Kappa Phi Chapter Scholar.
Established in 2007, the Council is tasked with enhancing communication with Phi Kappa Phi’s student vice presidents, planning and hosting a student leadership conference, and interacting with student vice presidents in the Society’s five divisions, among other tasks.
