James Almasi, senior associate director, Financial Aid, has been named Florida Tech’s Most Valuable Panther for July.
In announcing the award, the Office of Human Resources said:
“James took on the daunting task of determining what funds could be drawn for student refunds of federal aid. After more than a year of this procedure, his efforts and diligence resulted in keeping our students eligible for almost $80 million in federal aid. James is the primary contact for Bisk students’ financial aid and he is responsible for all of the queries used to maintain the financial aid database and customer service.”
The MVP program recognizes faculty and staff who embody both the university’s standards for innovation and excellence, and offer quality of service to the campus at large and individual students.
