The Integrated Display and Environmental Awareness System project from a team of scientists including Florida Tech’s Ondrej Doule (pictured) was awarded a 2017 Innovation Award from NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD).
Doule, assistant professor in the School of Human-Centered Design, Innovation and Art, was system architect for human system integration, hardware design specialist, and principal investigator on Florida Tech’s side. The project PI was David Miranda at Kennedy Space Center.
“The STMD community sincerely appreciates your hard work, leadership and dedication to providing NASA and the nation with revolutions new technologies and capabilities,” Stephen Jurczyk, STMB associate administrator, said in a letter announcing the award.
This is the second time IDEAS has been given the Innovation Award.
