Walton Recognized with Emerging Influential Award

Abram Walton, director of the Center for Lifecycle and Innovation Management at Florida Tech and a professor of management at the university’s Nathan Bisk College of Business, received the Emerging Influential Award at the Space Coast Public Service Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sept. 23.

The award is presented to an emerging influential (40 years old or younger) for exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to the community during the past year. The recipient “represents innovation and embodies how business success, professional growth, passion, mentorship, and community involvement go hand-in-hand in public service,” according to awards organizers.

More than 100 people from across Brevard County were recognized at the event, which celebrates the value and virtue of the highest standards of public service, recognizes the sacrifice and efforts of public servants, and encourages future generations to pursue careers in public service.

In February, Walton was named a LEAD Brevard 4 Under 40 recipient.
