Students in the Class of 2021 and their families donated $1,187.78 during Orientation Week in August. Centering on 37 Cents Day, a fundraising initiative honoring the small donation more than a half-century ago that began the process of establishing Florida Tech, the initiative featured tables set up in front of Gleason Performing Arts Center and Clemente Center and on Panther Plaza.
The money was given to Brevard Schools Foundation’s Supply Zone for Teachers. A resource center based at Clearlake Middle School in Cocoa, the center provides free school supplies for those who cannot afford them. This store is stocked entirely through donations.
