The Florida Tech community once again stepped up and displayed its generosity.
The weeklong United Way campaign concluded Oct. 28 and the $125,000 goal was met and, in fact, exceeded, according to Joni Oglesby, United Way Employer Campaign Manager for the university.
“We want to offer a very special thank you to the many faculty and staff members who helped reach the goal,” Oglesby said.
United Way funds will help a variety of important community efforts, including providing access to books and caring mentors for struggling readers, financial education classes, hunger reduction initiatives and more.
In other words, Oglesby said, “your gifts help change the future for so many in our community.”
