Phi Kappa Phi Welcomes 223 New Members

The Florida tech chapter of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi held its eighth initiation ceremony in April, inducting 217 students and six faculty and staff members.

The faculty and staff initiates were: Darice Dawson, Christopher Durie, Veton Kepuska, Robert Marx, Matthew Ruane and Razvan Rusovici.

The chapter also presented two Chapter Scholar Awards, each with a $1,000 cash grant. This year’s recipients were Luisa Gomes, a junior enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, and Emmanuel Akpan, a senior in Chemical Engineering. They were selected for their academic achievement, service on and off campus, and vision for their careers.
