Florida Tech’s Institute for Cross Cultural Management (ICCM) hosted its second Cross Cultural Management Summit in February. The event drew attention from experts from various industries: individuals from academia, corporations and government and military organizations came to teach, learn and network.
The event kicked off with a keynote address from Fons Trompenaars from KPMG Netherlands and continued over two full days with speaker presentations and integrative discussions, culminating in a brand-new, interactive problem-solving case study to aid the Red Cross.
ICCM also offered pre- and post-conference workshops designed to educate leaders in global business on the issues culture presents in the workplace and real-world solutions to those problems.
“The 2016 Cross Cultural Management Summit was a great success. The expertise and energy were both at a high level, and it was fantastic to watch our participants walk away with actionable ideas on how to improve their international effectiveness,” said ICCM Executive Director Rich Griffith. “I believed we made some excellent friends and took a step forward in making ICCM and Florida Tech the center of excellence in culture and organizational effectiveness.”
