Florida Institute of Technology will present its 10th annual Botanical Fest from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, on Crawford Green on the Melbourne campus.
To commemorate this special 10th anniversary festival, the Botanical Garden Committee has organized five Florida-friendly landscaping seminars from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Gleason Performing Arts Center.
Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardens begins at 9 a.m., followed by Backyard Chickens at 9:30 a.m., Veggie Gardens Composting at 10:15 a.m. and Indian River Lagoon at 11:15 a.m. Nine Principles of Florida-Friendly Landscaping presented by Sally Scalera at 11:50 a.m. will finish out the seminars.
The seminars are sponsored by Indian River Lagoon Program, City of Melbourne, Brevard County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Palm Bay.
