Florida Tech Continues to Receive Accolades

Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne.

Confirming what students, faculty and staff already know, a host of independent arbiters have found that Florida Tech is one of the top universities.

The school was, once again, named among the top 200 universities in the world in the 2014-15 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. THE also ranked Florida Tech No. 6 in the world, ahead of such schools as Harvard University and Yale University, in the research and citations category.

Another trusted source, U.S. News & World Report, recognized Florida Tech as a top tier National University for the fifth straight year in its 2015 “Best Colleges” rankings.

Elsewhere, the university was named one of the nation’s best technical schools in the recently released 2015 Fiske Guide to Colleges, earning a spot in the influential annual directory’s list alongside Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and just 14 other schools from across the country.

Overall, Florida Tech was featured among a select group of four-year colleges and universities in the Fiske guide, which spotlights the “best and most interesting” schools across the country.

And Florida Tech was included in this year’s Forbes magazine list of the 50 most entrepreneurial research universities in the nation, joining MIT, Harvard, Stanford Universities and others on the prestigious list.
