Joddy Murray, an associate professor at Texas Christian University, will spend the 2014-15 academic year at Florida Institute of Technology as a Fellow for the American Council on Education. The prestigious ACE Fellows Program, established in 1965, is designed to strengthen institutional capacity and build leadership in American higher education by identifying and preparing promising senior faculty and administrators for responsible positions in college and university administration.
“Certainly, the opportunity to learn from one of the top 200 universities in the world makes Florida Tech an ideal place for me to gain administrative and leadership skills,” Murray said.
Murray will work with the top officers at Florida Tech. He is interested in learning about leadership, internationalization and “the broader experiences students have outside of the regular curriculum,” he wrote in his ACE Fellows Statement of Interest.
