Jay Barbree Book Signing, Speech Draws Crowd

The tales of close calls and thrilling adventures were plentiful on Aug. 22 as longtime NBC space correspondent Jay Barbree came to campus to talk about his new book, “Neil Armstrong: A Life of Flight.” With a book signing, prime rib dinner and speech, the event drew guests from the university and across the Space Coast. Florida Tech President and CEO Anthony J. Catanese welcomed the crowd to the Hartley Room and Winston Scott, the university’s senior vice president of external relations and economic development, introduced Barbree. The event was presented by the Lifelong Scholar Society.
