Aviation students training at Florida Tech under an agreement with Turkish Airlines have traveled to the United Kingdom to undergo additional schooling at FTA Pilot Flight Training Academy in the English city of Brighton. The students will take European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Instrument Rating Conversion courses. The courses have to be completed in European airspace to enable pilot trainees to earn their EASA pilot licenses.
“It’s certainly an exciting time to be part of the aviation industry and we were delighted to deliver training in conjunction with Florida Institute of Technology,” said Jonathan Candelon, managing director at FTA.
Ken Stackpoole, vice president for aviation programs, added, \”The flight training on both sides of the Atlantic is progressing nicely.\”
