Abram Walton

Nathan M. Bisk College of Business

Abram L. Walton recently joined the board of directors for TrepHub, a leading technology incubator based in Melbourne.

“An Examination of Minority Student Retention, Progression and Graduation at Columbus State University, Georgia,” from lead author Amitabh Dutta, has been accepted for presentation at the 14th International Conference on Diversity in Organizations, Communities and Nations 2014 in Vienna, Austria.

College of Psychology and Liberal Arts

Behavioral Interventions has accepted “Effects of video modeling on teaching bids for joint attention to children with autism” for publication. Alison Betz is a co-author.

Radhika Krishnamurthy was an invited speaker in a panel presentation at the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology midwinter conference in New Orleans this past January. The conference and panel theme was “Social Justice Training in Professional Psychology.”

An article written by Siggi Sigurdsson in 2008 has been included in the Journal of Safety Research virtual special issue celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the National Safety Council.

Frank Webbe was a co-participant for APA Division 47 in awarding the APA Interdivisional Grant for developing a Concussion Education Tool Kit.

David Wilder presented, “An assessment-based solution to employee performance problems in center-based autism programs: the Performance Diagnostic Checklist-Human Services” at the annual conference of the California Association for Behavior Analysis.

Journal of Organizational Behavior Management has accepted “An assessment of optimal preference assessment intervals among employees” for publication. Byron Wine is a co-author.

College of Science

Catherine Neish hosted a workshop entitled, “Cassini Titan Surface Workshop” earlier this year that drew participants from around the country. It was the first-ever such workshop hosted at FIT and featured talks on a range of Titan-related topics.

Women’s Business Center

Beth Gitlin, director for the Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech, has been awarded the Small Business Administration State of Florida Small Business Advocate of the Year for Florida.
