Downtown Titusville will become a Digital Downtown when it showcases Art & Algorithms, a 10-day arts street party featuring first-run films and holographic imagery from the United Kingdom, select Florida digital artists, hands-on digital games and large-scale 3-D digital mapping and projection. Florida Tech is among the sponsors.
For example, larger than life 3-D digital mapping will be the anchor entertainment during the opening and closing weekends of the festival; the international film festival at the Titusville Playhouse will feature more than 90 award-winning digital short films from more than 30 countries; and hands-on interactive activities will include digital graffiti walls and beam-your-own-art opportunities.
The festival will feature two internationally known artists from the UK, Martin Richardson, the Chair in Modern Holography at DeMontfort University in Leicester, England, and the International Film Festival curator Clifton Stewart, a senior lecturer in media production at Coventry University, also in the UK.
Tickets are available online at $25 for a full-festival pass for all 10 days; $10 for a single-day pass; and $5 for a single-day film screening. More information and tickets are available at http://.artandalgorithms.com.
