Florida Tech fans flocked to the Clemente Center on Friday, Sept. 14 to see the Panthers’ inaugural home and away uniforms from Nike. More than 100 players modeled the uniforms at a pep rally, presented by Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Audi of Melbourne. Other sponsors included The Broken Barrel Tavern and Walmart Neighborhood Market.

The pep rally preceded the team’s first intrasquad scrimmage at Palm Bay High School’s Pirate Stadium the next evening at 7 p.m.

The stylish uniforms are from Nike’s Enforcer line. The home uniform consists of gray, crimson and black with the word “Panthers” above the jersey number. The pants, which are also black, bear the FIT logo on the left hip, the word “Panthers” along the right pant leg and the word “Pride” on the back beltline.

The away jersey features the colors white, crimson and gray with “Florida Tech” above the jersey number. The gray pants also bear the FIT logo on the left hip, Panthers along the right leg and Pride on the back beltline.

Florida Tech President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Anthony J. Catanese, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer T. Dwayne McCay, Athletic Director Bill Jurgens and Head Football Coach Steve Englehart each spoke during the pep rally.

Englehart presented Catanese with a home jersey bearing No. 1 and McCay with a home jersey bearing No. 11, the number he wore in high school.
