Carla Simmons Is New H.R. Director

Carla Simmons joins Florida Tech as the new Human Resources director. She brings to campus 19 years of international and domestic human resources experience in various industries, including for-profit, non-profit and the space industry.

A chief HR officer for nine of those years, Simmons is also an HR generalist. She is experienced in the areas of benefits, payroll, retirement (401k and 403b), safety and security. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in business administration/aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
