Plaque Proclaims Center of Excellence

The FAA has proclaimed Florida Tech an FAA Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation. Florida Tech is one of several such centers, which include: Stanford University in California; New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro; New Mexico State University; Florida Center for Advanced Aero-Propulsion at Florida State University in Tallahassee; University of Colorado at Boulder; and University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. All participate in this effort to promote research leading to the safe advance of commercial space travel.
