College of Aeronautics graduate student Greg Reverdiau won the “Best Research Paper” award at the 2012 Human Factors and Applied Psychology Student Conference, held April 5 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). His paper was “The Effect of a Virtual Air Traffic Control Environment on Learning Radio Communication Procedures.”
Graduate student Mishael Hinds also presented his paper, “The Effect of Vection on Postural Stability and Cognitive Performance in College-Aged Adults in Florida.” Both students were mentored by John Deaton, College of Aeronautics professor.
ERAU and the University of Central Florida were among the three institutions competing.
