Susan St. Onge has been named senior vice president for development and chief development officer. She leaves her position as associate vice president for planned giving at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, to join Florida Tech June 1.
“Susan’s experience and abilities are the perfect match for Florida Tech,” President Anthony J. Catanese said. “We will put her philanthropic leadership to great use as we plan the university’s next capital campaign.”
At Case Western since 2008, St. Onge also held the position of senior associate dean for development in the School of Medicine, positioning it to exceed its $350 million campaign goal. From 2005-08, she served as the chief development officer at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Conn., where she provided leadership to a $100 million campaign.
St. Onge holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Finch College in New York, a Master of Business Administration degree from Stetson University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She is admitted to the Ohio Bar and also has experience as a practicing attorney.
