Dean in Freefall

Dean of the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts Mary Beth Kenkel joined the Army\’s Golden Knights for a day when she participated in a tandem parachute jump from 13,500 feet over the Homestead Air Force Base in Florida.

She plummeted at 120-miles per hour in a freefall until the major chute opened at 5,000 feet.

Kenkel said, \”It was fantastic. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.\” Pictured here with tandem instructor Jared Zell, Kenkel holds the foot of videographer and Golden Knight Reese Pendleton.
