The Scott Center for Autism Treatment and Crowdrise have partnered to raise money for autism research in conjunction with the State Farm Melbourne Music Marathon Weekend, Feb. 4-5, 2012. Crowdrise is a fundraising and volunteering website that uses social networking to spread the word. Visit: http://www.crowdrise.com.
“This is an exciting method of fundraising that we hope the entire running community embraces,” said Colleen Middlebrooks, Scott Center outreach coordinator.
The Melbourne Marathon also offers incentives to donate. Currently, donors who give exactly $29 on Crowdrise by Jan. 15, 2012, are entered for a chance to win an iPad2. Visit: www.themelbournemarathon.com.
