Harris Honored with Bronze Plaque

Professor of ocean engineering Lee Harris, who passed away in 2010, was honored at a recent gathering of his friends and colleagues on the north jetty of Sebastian Inlet.

“Lee is well remembered for all the work he did on inlet engineering and oceanography,” said George Maul, head, department of marine and environmental systems.“A magnificent double rainbow at the ceremony made us all feel Lee’s loving presence once again.”

A bronze plaque in his honor was placed at the east end of the jetty by the Sebastian Inlet District.
