Brittany Collins, a Satellite Beach native and Melbourne Central Catholic High School graduate who has served as a nurse practitioner at Florida Tech for the last 3 ½ years, has been named director of the Holzer Student Health Center.
A board-certified nurse practitioner with five years of experience in surgical trauma at Orlando Regional Medical Center and Holmes Regional Medical Center, Collins is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a master’s degree in nursing in the family nurse practitioner track.
“I believe health is much more than an absence of disease; it is a state of emotional, physical and spiritual well-being,” Collins said. “I strive to assist our patients in achieving their highest level of wellness in order to reach their full intellectual and physical potential.”
Collins is married to Cory Collins, a starting goalie on the Florida Tech Panthers soccer team who graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. The couple recently welcomed their first child, Banyan, who was born in November.
