Michelle Curtis, a marine biology master’s student under Associate Professor Richard Turner, was invited by Florida Tech alumnus and University of Saint Francis Assistant Professor Warren Pryor to give a seminar to 150 students and faculty at the Fort Wayne, Indiana, university in late September. She spoke on her thesis, “Development and morphology of ciliary urns in the sea cucumber Synaptula hydriformis.” Another highlight of the trip was when Curtis assisted one of Pryor’s students with her mussel tagging project.
