Fox 35 Orlando’s “Good Day Orlando” morning show held a live broadcast behind the Miller Building on Friday, Nov. 6 during Homecoming Week.

Anchors John Brown and Amy Kaufeldt and meteorologist Jayme King spent the morning on campus, extolling the virtues of Florida Tech and its students, faculty and staff.

Live interviews included Florida Tech President and CEO Anthony Catanese, Florida Panthers head football coach Steve Englehart and Winston Scott, senior vice president in the Office of External Relations and Economic Development, who also played a few notes on his trumpet. Cheerleaders, the pep band and Pete the Panther ensured there was always excitement and energy during the show.

The broadcast started at 6 a.m. with weather reports from King, who visited various areas of campus, including the botanical garden and the Olin Quad, and from 7-1o a.m. featured Brown and Kaufeldt at their anchor desk near the Jerome Keuper statue on the Academic Quad area of campus.
